“Breeze” summer exhibition of the city of Bludenz 2024 by Lothar Ämilian Heinzle

In the Rungelin Forest stands a stone that is special in more ways than one. This 30-ton monolith sits enthroned on a sloping plateau, visible from afar, with a view over the dark valley to a magnificent mountain formation with the Three Towers and Drusenfluh.

When the wind that rises above the forest at certain times of day hits the stone, temporary soundscapes are created - subtle acoustic sensations against a monumental landscape backdrop. The artist Lothar Aemilian Heinzle gave this stone a new name: “WINDHAUCH”. What is really special about this stone is its position: it stands in a potentially unstable position on the edge of an almost 50-meter-deep precipice.

Lothar Ämilian Heinzle's “Windhauch” project includes change, transformation and reinterpretation of what currently exists. After all, everything - not just in nature - is constantly in flux.
