Rona, newly released from rehab, returns to the Orkney Islands, a wild and beautiful place just off the Scottish coast. After more than a decade of living on the edge in London, where she found and lost love, Rona - now 30 - is trying to come to terms with her difficult past. As she reconnects with the dramatic landscape she grew up in, memories of her traumatic childhood intermingle with more recent challenging events that have set her on the road to recovery.
