Excursion with forest picnic: Klostertaler Bergwälder

Accompanied by the Verwall-Klostertaler Bergwälder nature conservation association, we go on a discovery tour in the Klostertaler Bergwälder European nature reserve. Together we explore the sunny southern side of the protected area, hike from Langen to Klösterle and see valuable habitats such as mountain meadows and mixed beech forests. With a bit of luck, we may encounter rare and protected bird species, including various species of woodpecker. After the hike, a cosy mountain picnic with products from Margreitterhof in Braz awaits you at the Wäldletobel bridge, where we share our experiences and impressions.

Demand: pure walking time approx. 1.5h, 4km, 200hm ascent, 350hm descent, moderately difficult hike on forest and root paths, surefootedness and fitness for a 2-hour hike is required

Equipment/clothing: rucksack with drink and snack (Large enough to carry your own picnic box. The picnic box is distributed at the start and carried by each guest.), sportswear suitable for the weather, rain protection (if necessary), sun protection (sunglasses, sun cream, visor cap), ankle-high hiking boots, binoculars if required
