Barrier-free mobility
Unrestricted mobility is not a matter of course for many people. To enable people with disabilities to travel comfortably by bus and train, transport companies offer various services.
Regional transport
The S-Bahn and regional express trains (REX) are normally low-floor vehicles and therefore barrier-free.
Bus services
Due to the design of the buses and bus stops, it is unfortunately not possible for people with disabilities or reduced mobility to board every bus without restrictions. Some buses are equipped with lifts or ramps and offer a special space for wheelchairs.
Long-distance travel
Most long-distance trains have special seats and accessible toilets for people with wheelchairs. These are marked accordingly in the timetable.
E-bike charging stations
Are you on a long tour and your e-bike battery won't last until you reach your destination? There are many e-bike charging stations in Brandnertal, Klostertal, Großes Walsertal Biosphere Park and in the Alpine town of Bludenz.
You can easily recharge your e-bike here.
(E-)Bike rentals
With the tailwind provided by an (e-)bike, you can go far and high. Whether in the valley or at lofty heights.
Would you like to start a tour? Our professionals will be happy to help you and advise you on choosing the right bike. And best of all: many bike routes can be easily reached with the mountain railroads, which also take care of bike transportation.
