Fairy Tale & Legend Trail | Bürs

The circular trail can be completed in about one hour. Along the way, there are rest areas with benches for a snack and a rest. Several stations provide entertainment, telling well-known fairy tales, legends from the region and interesting facts about nature:

• "The honey bees"
• "The legend of the Peterstein"
• "The Frog King"
• "The Legend of the Rosenegg Castle"
• "The legend of Schesaplana".

The panels were artistically staged by the children of the kindergarten, the primary school and the middle school in Bürs. Funny wooden men accompany them as signposts along the way. A fairytale delight for young and old!

The trail starts at the municipal office in Bürs past the church in the direction of Schaßweg. First follow the Schaßweg for a short distance before the path branches off in the direction of Rosenegg Castle. From there the trail leads through the forest and via Hinterburgweg back to the starting point.

Municipal office - St. Martin's Church - Obergasse - Schaßweg - turn right - forest road to Schaßwiesen (small wooden hut on the right) - turn left towards the biotope - forest road towards Rosenegg Castle - before the entrance gate, turn right along the path to the feeding stand - Hinterburgweg - Werkstraße - municipal office

Alternative way back: At the biotope turn left onto the paved forest road towards the valley - Schaßweg - Obergasse - municipal office

The Fairy Tale and Legend Trail can be walked in summer as well as in winter when there is a corresponding lack of snow.
