Adventures among the treetops: An experience report from the climbing park in Brand
I've often heard about the climbing park in Brand, but I've never tried it out myself. I recently met a friend who had visited the forest ropes course with her daughter. Curious, I asked Danja and Emelie a few questions about their trip.
When did you go to the climbing park?
It was a hot day, but it was pleasantly cool in the forest. So the climbing park is perfect for hot summer days. It's open every day in summer, from 10:00 to 17:30.
Did you bring your own equipment?
No, you can easily hire equipment from Eliot. Eliot is responsible for the climbing park and explained everything to us in detail at the beginning.
Is the course difficult? Were you not afraid of heights?
There are different courses, so you can choose whether you want to do an easy one or a more challenging one. We started with an easy one and then got more challenging. We weren't afraid of heights, but we felt a bit queasy at the beginning. But you soon forget that, because it's so much fun moving from tree to tree, swinging and climbing - like little monkeys.
That sounded good, I thought to myself. At the next opportunity, I will finally try out the climbing park for myself. And then I'll cool off in the Alvierbad!
Finally, I asked Emelie what she liked best in the climbing park.
Her favorite part was the Flying Fox stations. It was sooo exciting to float in the air. You definitely have to try it out!
