Our Scenic Viewpoints – and Where to Find Them
Loischkopf
Accessible via the hiking trail from the Panoramabahn mountain station or by taking the Einhornbahn II and Loischkopfbahn
Enjoy a breathtaking 360° panoramic view: to the north, Lake Constance; to the east, the Walser ridge, the Klostertal/Arlberg region, and the Montafon. Looking south, the dramatic peaks of the Rätikon rise up – including the striking Zimba and Schesaplana.
Niggenkopf
Accessible via the hiking trail from the Dorfbahn or Palüdbahn mountain station (during Palüdbahn operating times)
Enjoy a perfect view of the Rätikon mountains with the highest peak, the Schesaplana at 2,965 m. In this area there are numerous other mountain peaks over 2,500 m high, such as the Panüeler Kopf and the Wildberg.
Palüd
Accessible via the footpath from the Palüdbahn mountain station (during its operating times) or via the hiking trail from Niggenkopf
Take in a stunning view of the Rätikon mountains, including the Schesaplana, Wildberg, and Panüeler. At the end of the Zalimtal valley, the Leibersteig trail leads up to the Mannheimer Hütte – or you can reach the Nenzinger Himmel via the scenic “Spusagang” route.
Faregg
Accessible via the hiking trail from the Panoramabahn or Loischkopfbahn mountain stations
The Faregg is a key junction for various trails – hiking, biking, and winter hiking – connecting Brand and Bürserberg in both summer and winter. Enjoy magnificent views of the Rätikon mountains from this scenic spot.
Glinzgieck
Accessible via the hiking trail from Alpe Rona
A perfect spot to linger and enjoy the view – any time of day. Take in sweeping vistas of the Klostertal, the Arlberg region, and the Montafon. Below, the Alpine town of Bludenz, along with Nüziders and Bürs, stretches across the valley floor.
Furkla
Accessible via Accessible via the Furkla Höhenweg (high-altitude trail), near Alpe Furkla
The trail offers outstanding panoramic views – stretching from Bludenz and Nüziders into the Klostertal and towards the Arlberg, as well as into the Montafon and across the Rätikon range with the iconic Zimba peak.
Schesatobel
Accessible via the Schesatobel trail from the Einhornbahn II valley station
This is one of the largest mudslide areas in Europe. The Schesa landslide formed between 1802 and 1868 and has been continuously stabilized and maintained over the past 20 years.
