The monument commemorates Bernhard Riedmiller, a captain of the Bludenz shooters.
The memorial in Werdenbergerstraße was built in 1905 and was designed by Georg Matt. It shows a man, who puts his saber embattled in the air. The memorial mentions Berhard Riedmiller, a captain of the Bludenzer shooters. He faught between 1796 and 1799 while the Napoleonic wars at the frontline and defended Bludenz against the French.
