women's museum

The women's museum Hittisau (Bregenzerwald) is the first and only women's museum in Austria. It is also the only one in the world in rural areas. It was founded in 2000 on the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler and since then has shown over thirty exhibitions on women-relevant topics.
