Although it does not look like it at first glance, Sonntag is the largest community in the Biosphere Reserve Großes Walsertal. The houses of the scattered settlement are far apart, as typical in the mountain villages of the alps. The village center is formed around the village church. There you can also find the interesting local museum. Connoisseurs get their money's worth in the biosphärenpark.haus. There you will find the famous Walserstolz mountain cheese and a selection of delicacies directly from the region. The skiing area of Sonntag-Stein turns into a hiking paradise in summer. On the edge of the largest nature reserve in Vorarlberg lies the district Buchboden where you can make various hikes in Gadental.
