Franciscan monastery
Our monastery was founded in 1645 by the Capuchins, who worked here until 1991. For personnel reasons, however, they had to give up the monastery, which is owned by 21 parishes in the Bludenz region.
Detailed description
On 1 June 1991 we Franciscans from the province of Poznan/Poland agreed to take over this monastery in order to revive it with a new Franciscan spirit.
Our mission in the monastery is above all to be there for people to celebrate the Eucharist and to administer the Sacrament of Penance, for conversations, blessings of objects, etc.
Our monastery should be a place of peace, contemplation and encounter.
In addition, we support the parishes of the region as substitute pastors.
There are currently two priests in the monastery, Guardian Fr. Markary, who is also a hospital chaplain, and Fr. They also look after the SeneCura Park Laurentius retirement home.
