A place steeped in history at the foot of the Arlberg
Klösterle am Arlberg lies at the foot of the world-famous Arlberg. With its districts of Klösterle am Arlberg, Danöfen, Langen and Stuben am Arlberg, the village offers a diverse nature experience in both summer and winter.
In summer, the region is transformed into a paradise for hikers and mountaineers. Alpine meadows, clear mountain air, refreshing streams and rivers as well as numerous hiking trails attract anyone looking for authentic nature and cultural experiences. Whether a hike to Alpe Nenzigast, to Spullersee or to peaks such as the Burtschakopf - everyone will find the right route here. On hot days, a visit to the cool and refreshing Wäldletobel is well worthwhile. The Wäldletobelbach has formed an impressive gorge that is accessible almost all year round. After an extensive mountain experience, the Alfenz Kneipp and relaxation garden invites you to unwind.
The Sonnenkopf natural snow ski area in Danöfen has no artificial snowmaking at all. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking and snowshoeing here. In summer, the Sonnenkopf is transformed into a natural paradise with numerous hiking opportunities and the Bärenland nature leisure park for the whole family. Klösterle am Arlberg offers a varied vacation with warm hospitality, sporting activities, relaxation and culinary delights.
An oasis of relaxation in Klösterle
Refreshment for body and soul: a summer morning in the Kneipp & Relax Garten Alfenz in Klösterle.
Here I walk out of the front door and am already in the middle of nature. Whether it's a walk in the woods, a village tour including the Wäldletobel waterfall - nature is very close. As an herbalist, I can find everything I need for my herbal recipes within a short walk around the house or on my forays nearby. I really appreciate that! I then bring the herb harvest to our restaurant kitchen, where my husband adds them to his dishes or I dry them to make tea and mix herbal salt. I appreciate the village character that Klösterle has and the good infrastructure. Stores, bakery, clubs, school, pubs - and still in the middle of the countryside.
