Nature experience and relaxation at the entrance to the Klostertal
The charming village of Braz lies at the entrance to the Klostertal, close to Bludenz. Braz is divided into the Bludenz district of Außerbraz and the municipality of Innerbraz. Thanks to its central location, Braz is the starting point for nature-loving explorers and mountain sports enthusiasts, whatever the season.
The imposing Mason waterfall towers high above the village with its 80-metre drop, accompanied by the striking Roggelskopf in the background. Braz is home to another rather hidden waterfall, the Allmein waterfall. You can hike directly from Braz to the Mason waterfall or towards Formarinsee, either guided or on your own. The once-forgotten Hinterbirgweg also invites you to explore alpine and challenging trails. In spring, the Brazer Allmein is resplendent with flowers while the meltwater shoots out of the waterfalls - pure relaxation. The 18-hole golf course at the Golfclub Bludenz-Braz offers a great opportunity to enjoy nature in an active yet somewhat different way.
In winter, Braz is clear, quiet and enjoyable. Take a walk together on the Alfenz circular trail, go tobogganing with children on the Brazer Allmein or relax in the day spa at the Traube Braz Alpen.Spa.Golf.Hotel. You can end the day comfortably at the Gasthof Rössle with a simple yet authentic menu showcasing regional dishes. Whether summer or winter, spring or autumn, Braz is an inspiring place full of opportunities for sustainable and active vacations.
In my youth, Braz often seemed unspectacular to me. But after I had seen more of the world, I saw my home with new eyes. I realized that the nature around us is like a self-service store where forests and meadows determine the assortment. The mountains and the variety of activities they offer enrich my life profoundly - I am really happy to live here.
