Special cooperation between agriculture and gastronomy

Klostertaler Bauerntafel

The "Klostertaler Bauerntafel" is more than just an association for regional products - it embodies the essence of the Klostertal. Here, tradition and enjoyment merge into a unique experience. The valley's traditional agriculture, which has shaped the landscape for centuries, produces treasures that are honored in unmistakable forms.

The close cooperation between agriculture and the valley's restaurants, made possible by the association, enables culinary treasures to be brought directly to the plates of locals and guests. This initiative makes regionality not only edible, but also visible and tangible. Every product on the Klostertaler Bauerntafel tells a story - of traditional craftsmanship, the dedication of local farmers and the culinary skills of the chefs in the valley.

Direct sales from the farm

Direct sales from the farm is becoming increasingly important in agriculture. This allows farmers to increase their added value and retain control over their products. Many farms follow a clear philosophy and ensure that their products live up to this claim beyond the farm. Delicacy cabinets and farm stores characterize the entrance areas and invite visitors to discover regional delicacies directly on site.

Our book tip!

Anna Engstler and Mathias Klocker visited all 17 alps in the Klostertal and their inhabitants in the summer of 2024. They took part in alpine life and accompanied the alpine farmers in their work. These encounters resulted in the book "Zweite Heimat - Alpen im Klostertal".

"Zweite Heimat" documents life and work on the Alps in the municipalities of Innerbraz, Dalaas and Klösterle am Arlberg. Expressive photographs by Mathias Klocker and documentary texts by Anna Engstler not only capture the nature and landscape, but also tell the personal stories and perspectives of the alpine farmers.
