Dalaas and Wald am Arlberg

Nature and tradition in the heart of the Klostertal

The villages of Dalaas and Wald am Arlberg are located in the heart of the Klostertal. With a long tradition of hospitality dating back to the days of stagecoach travel over the Arlberg, this region still offers an interesting range of sporting and cultural activities today.

Hiking trails lead directly from the villages into the Klostertal mountains. Whether to the famous Formarinsee or to the Sonnenkopf - nothing stands in the way of a challenging day of hiking. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can take the cable car to the Sonnenkopf. In winter, it attracts visitors with pure natural snow on the slopes as well as sun-drenched snowshoe and winter hikes.

But there is also plenty to discover away from the hiking trails. Those interested in culture should pay a visit to the Klostertal Museum. This provides a deep insight into the history of the Klostertal and the people who live here. Another unusual building is the Carpentry Exibition in Wald am Arlberg, where old crafts are brought to life and visitors can experience first-hand how wooden shingles are made, for example. For climbing enthusiasts, the Klostertal via ferrata at the Fallbach is an absolute must - spectacular views and a challenging route await the adventurous.

The mixture of enjoyment of nature, adventure, culture and tradition makes Dalaas and Wald am Arlberg the perfect destination.

I am driven by my enthusiasm for nature - whether in winter with my guests on the slopes of the Arlberg or in summer with my Klostertal forest sheep on the pastures.
