Glatthorn, 2.133 m | Fontanella-Faschina

From Faschina, the first part of the hike goes comfortably up with the double chairlift Stafelalpe to the middle station. The first section of the hike leads from the middle station along the Faschina flower hiking trail. Here, fantastic views in the direction of Damüls open up in you. The path continues along the ridge up to the Schluchtensattel. From here in about 30 minutes over the partly rope-secured flank to the summit of the Glatthorn at 2,133 m above sea level. In good conditions you can enjoy a great distant view at the summit. Return on the other side via the east ridge, also with rope belays, down towards the Franz-Josef-Hütte. A stop for refreshments is worthwhile! The tour then continues via the Staffel Alpe back to the starting point at the Faschinajoch. The tour can of course also be done in the opposite direction.

Equipment

Ankle-high mountain boots with tread sole, sun and rain protection, snack, filled water bottle and first aid kit. Cell phone for emergencies.
