Step into Bärenland

Lots of fun and amusing adventures for the whole family on the Sonnenkopf

The Sonnenkopfbahn takes you directly up the mountain - in just a few minutes you'll be at over 1,800 meters above sea level. With a bit of luck, you might even catch the popular "Bear Gondola". By the way: with the Guest Card Premium, the Sonnenkopf cable car is included in summer from the end of June to the beginning of October. Once at the top, a mountain panorama awaits you that will not only make children's eyes light up. Adults will also be beaming at the sight of the Klostertal and Arlberg mountains.

You can already hear the happy laughter of other children at the mountain station - just jump down the hill and you're in Bärenland. Over 30 play stations invite you to explore: solve exciting puzzles, ride the raft, scale the climbing wall and much more. Maybe you'll find one of the hidden bear coins in the digging field. For the adults, there are cozy resting places where they can relax while enjoying the 360° mountain panorama - what could be better?

Leisurely walks and hikes also start from here, which are suitable even for those who don't hike very often. For the more sporty and active, there are more demanding tours that represent a real challenge. How about a hike up the Burtschakopf, for example? (E-)bike routes also lead to Bärenland - and even further up.

After playing and exploring in the fresh air, hunger strikes. Whether you have a big or small appetite, the mountain restaurant has something for everyone. From classic Kaiserschmarrn from the large pan to salads, cheese dumplings, Wiener schnitzel or pizza from the pizza oven - there's something for everyone here. To top it all off, there is the priceless view of the imposing Rote Wand from the terrace.

Our insider tip: Try the mountain breakfast in the Sonnenkopf mountain restaurant - hungry bears are guaranteed to start the day with a boost!
