Doll Museum

The doll museum in Blons, opened in 1997, is the first of its kind in Vorarlberg. It displays a collection of dolls and toys, the oldest pieces of which date back to 1860, and is constantly growing thanks to private donors. Visitors to the Großes Walsertal Biosphere Reserve can immerse themselves in the toy world of times gone by.
 
The exhibition includes dolls made of various materials as well as shops, doll's houses, teddy bears, games and Punch and Judy theatres - all valuable testimonies to the history of toys and early domestic culture.
 
Many an old ‘Hüslarzüg’ (dialect word for toys: hüsla = to play) from Vorarlberg families has found a permanent home here and delights visitors young and old alike.
