Swinging high

It's a warm fall day. Today I have set myself the summits of Blasenka and Hochlicht as my goal from Faschina. The ascent starts easily and leads along a goods road towards Zafernmaisäß, from where the view opens up and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Große Walsertal. Then past the Bärenalpe, the alpine farmers have unfortunately already moved into the valley. But I haven't reached my destination yet, so I continue on my way, the path now leading steeply upwards.

Once I reach the top, I first hike up to the Blasenka and then to the Hochlicht. The two mountains are so close together that I hike to two summits in one day. I only hold on to the beautiful view for a short while - because another destination awaits me: the swing, also known as the "Hutschn", above the Seewaldsee lake. It is a new "wohl.platz" created in the summer of 2023 in the Großes Walsertal. A place designed to slow you down, to make you feel calmer and more relaxed.

Determined, I make my way back, follow the hiking trail back to the Bärenalpe and then take the direct turn-off towards Sonntag. I'm moving quickly today and I soon spot it - the swing. It's in a perfect spot, at the end (or perhaps the beginning?) of the Großes Walsertal. For me, it is the swing with the most beautiful view in the whole valley.

It's quiet, not a soul in sight. I enjoy the peace and quiet, sit on the swing and just swing away. Back and forth, back and forth... The wind in my face, the floating lightness - it feels good. I feel completely content and happy.

The day is not over for me yet. I descend, the Seewaldsee below me is my next destination. Although autumn has already arrived and the leaves are glowing in bright colors, I take one last dip in the water. It may be my last swim of the year, but that doesn't matter - I'll definitely be back here next summer.
